Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The Fuzz Face is one of the earliest and most iconic guitar effects pedals. Developed in the late 1960s, it has been used by countless musicians and is most famously associated with Jimi Hendrix. This project is a silicon version of the Fuzz Face circuit, designed to operate with NPN transistors and a 9-volt power supply. It is a great circuit for experimentation, as many variations of the same circuit can be created by changing the values of the components. To ensure safety, a polarity protection diode has been included, as well as an on-board status LED. The controls are Volume and Fuzz. With these two knobs, a wide range of sounds can be achieved, from subtle overdrive to full-on fuzz. With the right components and a bit of experimentation, this circuit can be used to create a unique and powerful fuzz tone.
