The Brush Strokes pedal is a DIY kit based on the Boss FA-1 pedal from the 80s. The Boss FA-1 was a rare and expensive pedal that acted as a preamp and eliminated tone suck when clipped onto a guitar strap. The Brush Strokes kit replicates this functionality in stompbox form. It comes with three pots and a toggle switch for control. The toggle switch serves as a low cut tone modifier. The kit includes a JP125B enclosure that is predrilled with side jacks and power. The circuit of the Brush Strokes pedal is of decent quality and falls into the medium difficulty range for building.
