Terminal Device is a highly modified Shin-Ei Companion Fuzz, based on the Earthquaker Devices Terminal Fuzz. It offers the unique buzzy sound of an old JAX fuzz with modern features that allow more in the way of control. The modifications include a pot at input that regulates the amount of signal being fed to the circuit, a controllable tone stack, and an output gain stage after the volume control to get the fuzz above unity volume. The controls include Treble, Voice, Fuzz, and Level potentiometers. The Treble control adjusts the amount of high-end frequencies, the Voice control adjusts the mid-range frequencies, the Fuzz control adjusts the amount of distortion, and the Level control adjusts the overall output volume. With these controls, users can dial in a wide range of tones from vintage fuzz to modern distortion.
