Analogman’s Sunface is a vintage germanium fuzz pedal inspired by the Arbiter Fuzz Face. It has three controls: Fuzz, Sundial, and Volume. The Sunface has an internal trimmer for the input’s sensitivity, which allows the user to adjust the tone to be fatter and more compressed or thinner and more transparent. It is also suitable for use with any kind of pickup. The most famous version of the Sunface uses NOS red dot NTK275 Germanium PNP transistors, but any low leakage transistors with a certain HFE (Q1 50-70 and Q2 90-110) will work. This can help to reduce the cost of the build. The Sunface is a great tool for guitarists who switch between guitars often, as it allows them to dial in the perfect tone for each one.
