Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The Archibald is a pedal based on the BK Bulter Tube Driver™ circuit. It delivers a harmonic richness that most analog pedals cannot achieve. It has additional features such as an external Bias control, two styles of tone control, and an optional JFET output buffer. The project is not complicated but requires patience to put together.
The controls on the Archibald include LEVEL and DRIVE, which are typical for dirt pedals. The BIAS control adjusts the compression and volume output. The TC switch selects between two different tone controls. The EQ control adjusts the tone/presence. The LO and HI controls provide low and high frequency boost. The BUFF switch adds a JFET buffer before the Level control for gain recovery and low output impedance.
Overall, the Archibald offers a lot of extra features on top of the stock Tube Driver™ circuit. It is a versatile pedal that can be adjusted to achieve different tones.
