BoomBoom by Madbeanpedals

The Brassmaster is a highly sought-after vintage pedal from the 70s that is known for its unique and highly compressed wall of fuzz sound. However, due to its rarity, it can be quite expensive to acquire. The BoomBoom is a more affordable alternative, offering 95% of the Brassmaster’s sound.

The BoomBoom features a more readily available transformer that closely matches the specifications of the vintage unit. It also includes an output volume control, which allows for more flexibility in adjusting the overall volume.

The controls on the BoomBoom include:

– BASS: Sets the volume of the clean bass signal sent to the output.
– SENSE: Adjusts the input volume to the octaver/EQ circuit.
– BRASS: Controls the output volume of the octaver/EQ circuit.
– VOL: Determines the overall mixed output from the BASS, SENSE, and BRASS controls.
– HARM: In the left position, this switch adds some extra octave up signal in parallel with the EQ circuit. In the right position, it sends the full octave up signal directly to the EQ.
– BRASS1/2: This switch toggles between two EQ settings. The left position is mids-focused, while the right position is mids-scooped.

The BoomBoom offers a more affordable way to achieve the highly sought-after Brassmaster sound. With its versatile controls, it allows for a wide range of tonal possibilities.
