Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The BumbleBee is a re-creation of the Baldwin Burns Buzzaround™, a rare and expensive fuzz pedal. It differs from other fuzz pedals like the Fuzz Face and Tonebender in that it has less bass and more fuzz saturation. It can also be controlled and tamed for classic fuzz tones. The interaction with the guitar volume is excellent for adjusting the fuzz on the fly.
The BumbleBee includes a voltage inverter, allowing it to be powered with a standard center-tip negative power supply.
The controls on the BumbleBee are as follows:
– SUS: Controls the total output of the pedal.
– TIMBRE: Adjusts the filter or tone of the fuzz.
– BAL: Controls the bias/output of the pedal.
– VOL: This control is not featured on the stock unit, but it has been added to the BumbleBee. It provides more variety in tones and is useful, although somewhat redundant with the Balance control.
The BumbleBee is a faithful recreation of the Baldwin Burns Buzzaround™, known for its unique fuzz sound. It offers a different tonal character compared to other popular fuzz pedals and allows for versatile fuzz tones. The addition of the voltage inverter and the VOL control adds to the flexibility and usability of the pedal.
