The Cosmopolitan is a fuzz/overdrive style dirt pedal that was originally offered in 2011 but was discontinued in 2012. However, it has now been brought back due to its popularity and versatility. The circuit features a mosfet boost on the front end, followed by a fuzz face style circuit that combines NPN silicon and germanium transistors. This combination allows for a range of tones, from smooth and creamy overdrive to squared fuzz. The interactive controls on the pedal are a key part of its appeal, allowing for precise dialing in of the desired sound. The Cosmopolitan is available in a five-knob version, which corresponds to the original design. It is worth noting that sourcing the AC127 NPN germanium transistor may be difficult, but there are alternatives available that may work.
