for your build. The enclosure size should be large enough to accommodate the two circuits and the additional toggles, if desired. Please note that ribbon cables are not included with the HellGazer II kit. We have had difficulty stripping them accurately and have wasted several in the process. We will try to source some short ones, but for now, please be prepared to source your own.The right-hand side of the pedal features the Soda fuzz, which ranges from dirty to extreme levels of filth. There is an optional toggle switch to introduce chaotic screeching sounds, as well as another toggle to flip the orientation of one of the transistors, resulting in a piercing octave-up effect in the signal. On the left-hand side, you’ll find the Cone Ripper overdrive, which is incredibly loud and aggressive. The transistors produce so much gain that it simulates the sound of your speaker tearing apart. Optional toggles can increase the gain even further and add some noise into the mix.We have included an order switcher, but we strongly recommend using the standard configuration of Soda into Ripper for the best results. Reversing the order may not yield desirable outcomes. After extensive experimentation, we can confidently say that Ripper into Soda is not a winning combination. Save yourself the trouble of adding a toggle switch for this purpose. If you do choose to include the order switcher, LEDs are provided to indicate which side is first in the signal chain. However, please be aware that assembly becomes more challenging with the addition of the 4PDT toggle switch. It is taller than the other toggles and may require extra washers on the pots (included) to accommodate its height. If you decide to add all the toggles, you will need to mount them without washers due to the limited 10mm spacing. This should not pose a significant issue. Both circuits can be independently switched on and off, and the default order when both are engaged is Fuzz (right) into OD (left), unless you choose to include the order switcher. The HellGazer II is not for the faint-hearted. It is designed to create a massive wall of fuzz, reminiscent of bands like Nine Inch Nails and My Bloody Valentine. The footswitches and LEDs mount on separate daughterboards, and the Lumberg jacks ensure a neat fit above the pots. Please keep in mind that the pot spacing is 20mm, so consider this when selecting knobs for your build. Additionally, choose an enclosure size that can accommodate both circuits and any additional toggles you may include.Get ready for the total and utter destruction of your tone with the HellGazer II.
