The Magnetron Delay is a tape echo simulator based on the Keeley Magnetic Echo. It has been improved with a revised component layout and now accommodates 1/4W resistors. The delay is created using the PT2399 delay IC and is filtered to sound like warm analog tape. The modulation section adds “wow and flutter” to the repeats of the delay.
The controls on the Magnetron Delay are as follows:
– Time: Adjusts the delay time.
– Regen: Sets the delay line regeneration from a single repeat to full self-oscillation.
– Depth: Adjusts the modulation depth.
– Speed: Adjusts the modulation speed.
– Level: Adjusts the volume of the delayed signal.
