Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The Marvellous Marshall is a pedal based on the popular Marvel Drive, known for its exceptional Plexi tones. With Ramble FX no longer in operation, these pedals are becoming highly sought after and expensive on the second-hand market. However, you can now build your own Marvellous Marshall with this kit, and all profits from the sales will go towards supporting our local animal shelter. This pedal does an excellent job of emulating the sound of pushed tubes by effectively driving the FETs. It delivers that iconic Marshall crunch that guitarists love. One of the standout features of this pedal is the ability to blend two channels – Normal and Treble – which allows for unique and interesting tonal options.Additionally, there is a switch that enables you to power the circuit with 18V instead of the standard 9V supply. This provides increased volume and headroom, resulting in a different playing experience. If you are comfortable with surface mount technology (SMT) soldering, you can save some money by opting for the SMT version of the FETs. It’s not too difficult, and the PCB has been designed to accommodate 3mm resistors. However, if you find the smaller resistors challenging to work with, you can choose 6mm resistors and mount them vertically for easier soldering.By building your own Marvellous Marshall, not only will you have a fantastic pedal that captures the essence of a Plexi amp, but you will also be supporting a worthy cause by contributing to our local animal shelter.
