Misfit by Madbeanpedals

The Ibanez Mostortion (MT-10) is a discontinued pedal that has gained popularity and increased in price on the used market. It is known for its use of the CA3260 chip, which has PMOS input and CMOS output. This chip allows for a voltage swing near the supply rail. The MT-10 has a unique sound that is difficult to describe, but one reviewer compared it to a salty, textured liquid with carbonated bubbles on the surface. The pedal has a BMT EQ that allows for tone shaping with different guitar and amp setups. The Misfit version of the MT-10 is the same pedal but with true-bypass operation and the use of large film caps instead of some electrolytics. It is important to note that the CA3260E chip has a supply limit of 16v, so running it at 18v could damage the chip. The controls on the MT-10 include LVL for output level, DIST for distortion amount, and a three-band passive EQ with BASS, MID, and TREB controls. AIONFX has a detailed writeup on the Mostortion MT-10 for their “Quantum” project.
