The OneShot is a single channel version of the Fulltone FD-2 pedal, based on the FD1 but with some tweaks and extra options. It offers four clipping modes (silicon, LED, Mosfet or none) which all sound different. The circuit is similar to a TS or SD-1 with additional features. The pedal has standard overdrive controls for volume, tone, and drive. There is also a trimmer called MID which allows you to adjust the Flat Mids setting. The stock setting is at 3/4 up. Lower settings will reduce gain and EQ flatness. The pedal also has a three-position switch called SLM which selects between silicon, LED, or Mosfet clipping. Another three-position switch called CFV selects between Vintage, Flat Mids, or “Comp Cut” clipping modes. The Vintage and Flat modes work with all three clipping options on the SLM switch, while the Comp Cut mode disables the SLM switch completely. It is important to note that the four different clipping modes have different output volumes, with the output increasing in the order of Si, Mos, LED, and “CC”. Therefore, the volume control may need to be adjusted when switching between the clipping modes. Overall, the OneShot offers a variety of options for different tones and clipping preferences.
