The Parentheses Fuzz is a pedal that is inspired by the EQD Life pedal. It features a 4-way rotary switch or a 3-position toggle switch for selecting the clipping mode. The 2020 edition of the pedal introduces a new Germanium clipping mode when using the 4-way rotary switch. The control layout has been updated for improved usability, and the trace routing has been improved to prevent circuit oscillation.
The controls on the Parentheses Fuzz include Octave, Distortion, Filter, Volume, Boost, and Clipping. The Octave control adjusts the level of the octave effect, while the Distortion control adjusts the amount of distortion. The Filter control allows you to shape the tone of the fuzz, and the Volume control adjusts the overall output level.
The Boost control provides an additional boost to the signal, allowing you to add more gain if desired. The Clipping control, which can be selected using either the rotary switch or the toggle switch, determines the type of clipping used in the circuit.
The Parentheses Fuzz features two footswitches: an Active/Bypass footswitch for engaging or bypassing the pedal, and an Octave Boost footswitch for activating the octave effect.
