The Plecostomus Fuzz is a pedal that is inspired by the FuzzHugger Algal Bloom. It features three controls: Level, Starve, and Bloom.
The Level control adjusts the overall output volume of the pedal. By turning it clockwise, the volume increases, and by turning it counterclockwise, the volume decreases.
The Starve control is responsible for adjusting the voltage supply to the circuit. This control can create unique and interesting tonal variations. By turning it clockwise, the voltage supply increases, resulting in a brighter and more aggressive tone. Turning it counterclockwise reduces the voltage supply, producing a darker and more vintage-like sound.
The Bloom control is the main tone-shaping control of the Plecostomus Fuzz. It adjusts the amount of gain and sustain in the signal. By turning it clockwise, the gain increases, resulting in a more distorted and saturated tone. Turning it counterclockwise reduces the gain, producing a cleaner and more transparent sound.
