The Red Herring Overdrive is a pedal that takes inspiration from the Menatone Red Snapper. It features four controls: Volume, Gain, Cut, and Bite. The Volume control adjusts the overall output level of the pedal, allowing you to match it with the rest of your signal chain. The Gain control determines the amount of overdrive or distortion that is added to your signal, giving you control over the level of saturation. The Cut control is responsible for shaping the tone by adjusting the high frequencies. Turning it clockwise will result in a brighter sound, while turning it counterclockwise will darken the tone. The Bite control adds a unique character to the sound by adjusting the midrange frequencies. Turning it up will give your tone more presence and bite, while turning it down will result in a smoother and more rounded sound.
