The Rodent Baxandall is a modified version of the Rat pedal, featuring a two-band Baxandall tone stack for more control over the tone. It can be tuned for standard guitar or a more bass and drop-tune friendly version. The pedal can be built with the normal Rat buffer on the output, which reaches unity at around 1-2 o’clock, or with a FET boost configuration for a more powerful output. There is also an option to toggle between two different clipping diodes, with the kit including 1N4148 diodes (Classic) and red LEDs (Turbo). An additional toggle switch can be added to select between the two flavors. For those looking for a dirtier sound, a pair of germanium diodes can be added to the mix. The kit uses the OP07 chip, as the vintage LM308 is no longer available. There is also an optional trimmer for the ruez ‘Response’ control mod.
