Tails/True Bypass – add-on for PT2399 delays by Fuzzdog

The Tails footswitch will activate the circuit that allows the repeats to continue after bypass, while the true bypass footswitch will completely bypass the delay circuit. To implement this setup, you will need to wire the footswitches in parallel. Connect the input and output of the delay circuit to the common terminals of both footswitches. Then, connect the normally closed (NC) terminal of the true bypass footswitch to the input of the delay circuit, and connect the normally open (NO) terminal of the Tails footswitch to the output of the delay circuit. When the true bypass footswitch is engaged, it will disconnect the input and output of the delay circuit, effectively bypassing it completely. When the Tails footswitch is engaged, it will connect the input and output of the delay circuit, allowing the repeats to continue even when the pedal is bypassed.Make sure to use shielded cables for the input and output connections to minimize noise and interference. Additionally, you may need to add a buffer or impedance matching circuit if the delay circuit requires it.With this setup, you can easily switch between true bypass and Tails function on your PT2399-based delay pedal.
