The TRIUMVIRATE is a unique distortion pedal that separates the guitar signal into three pathways: lows, mids, and highs. Each pathway has its own distortion engine, allowing for full control over the amount of gain in each band. The pedal is not limited to guitar and can be used with bass, synths, and even cellos.
The controls on the TRIUMVIRATE include Bass, Treble, and Mid volume controls for each distortion band. There are also gain controls for each band. A trimmer called Cut allows you to cut high-end frequencies from the resulting mix of Bass, Treble, and Mid distortion. Another trimmer called Pre increases the input gain before the signal is split into the three bands, with lower settings taking it into overdrive territory.
There are also controls for setting the cutoff frequencies of the treble band (High), the bottom/top of the mid band (Low Mid and Hi Mid), and the frequency where the mid/treble start to roll off in the bass band (Low). These controls can be used to add depth, isolate specific frequencies, and select the range and width of the mid band.
Overall, the TRIUMVIRATE offers a versatile and customizable multi-band distortion effect with a wide range of controls to shape the tone.
