The PedalPCB Roboto is a pedal that is based on the Death By Audio Robot. It is an 8-bit frequency shifter that offers a unique and experimental sound. The pedal features three main controls: Volume, Control, and Mode.
The Volume control adjusts the output volume of the pedal, allowing you to set the desired level of the effect in your signal chain.
The Control knob is responsible for controlling the pitch offset in different modes. In NORMAL, UP, and DOWN modes, it adjusts the pitch shift amount. In ARPEGGIO mode, it controls the rate of arpeggiation, allowing you to create interesting and rhythmic patterns.
The Mode selector is a rotary switch that lets you choose between four different modes: NORMAL, UP, DOWN, and ARPEGGIO. In NORMAL mode, the pedal functions as a standard frequency shifter. In UP and DOWN modes, it shifts the pitch up or down, respectively. In ARPEGGIO mode, it creates arpeggiated patterns by rapidly shifting the pitch up and down.
