Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The Emerald Ring is a PCB that allows you to add an octave tone to any fuzz or drive circuit. It is based on the OCTAVE UP Green Ringer and is an easy add-on to your existing setup. By driving the Emerald Ring with a fuzz pedal, you can achieve stronger octave and harmonics with less gating splatter.
The Emerald Ring is compatible with various fuzz and gain circuits such as Fuzz Face, Tonebender, Big Muff, Sriracha Fuzz, and Emexar 2. It can also be used in series with your favorite circuit for an always-on application.
You can experiment with different diodes, such as Germanium, to achieve different tones similar to those used by the Foxx Tone Machine, Superfuzz, Kay, and others.
The Emerald Ring works well with other pedals and allows for creative possibilities. In a demo, the Sriracha Fuzz is used as the first pedal in the chain, followed by the Emerald Ring. The output of the Emerald Ring is then connected to the output jack.
Overall, the Emerald Ring is a versatile PCB that adds an octave tone to your existing setup, allowing for unique and creative sounds.
