Timmy is a classic transparent overdrive circuit designed by Paul Cochrane. It has been cloned by many boutique brands, such as Vemuram Jan Ray, Lovepedal Amp 11, Lovepedal Kalamazoo, Rockett .45 Caliber, and Walrus Audio Mayflower. This project is optimized for building the classic Timmy and the Lovepedal Amp 11. It includes two external toggles that add different sets of diodes into the clipping section, replacing the original Timmy’s internal dip switch. The boost section is a replica of the Lovepedal COT 50 (Church of tone). The controls of the board include Drive, Bass, Treble, Volume, and Boost. The Drive control adjusts the amount of gain, Bass and Treble control the tone, Volume adjusts the output level, and Boost adds a clean boost to the signal. Overall, Timmy is a versatile board that allows users to build many different versions of this classic transparent overdrive. It is optimized for building the classic Timmy and the Lovepedal Amp 11, and includes two external toggles and a boost section. The controls allow users to adjust the gain, tone, and output level of the signal.
