Death Drive by Fuzzdog

The Death Drive is a highly anticipated pedal that is based on the Life Pedal. It features the same GORVA switches as the Life Pedal, so make sure to select the correct amount in the drop-down option when purchasing. If you choose to pay for only 2 GORVA switches but have a 3-switch version of the kit, it will not work properly. The Death Drive is essentially a boutique version of Dan Armstrong’s Green Ringer Octave-Up circuit combined with a tweaked Rat pedal. It offers three-way clipping options and a MOSFET post-boost. In addition to the standard Volume, Distortion, and Filter controls, it also has an Octave Level pot to dial in the desired amount of high-pitched fun.The kit includes a PCB designed for a neat and tidy 1590BB enclosure with twin footswitches. This format provides all the functionality of the original pedal in a pedalboard-friendly package. The PCB also has extra pads for adding a footswitch to toggle the octave-up element on and off. For this option, a larger enclosure is required. There are two big enclosure options available: the 1590XX (142 x 118mm) and the 1590DD (184 x 116mm). The 1590DD provides more space for the footswitches. Both larger sizes will require off-board pot wiring, but it is not a major issue. The kit includes all pots as round shaft, vertical mount, unless you specify standard splined shaft. The Death Drive kits come with Lumberg jacks instead of Neutrik jacks, as they fit above the pots with more room to spare.
