Fuzz Maker II by PCB Guitar Mania

The Fuzz Maker is a classic and versatile pedal that is popular among DIY pedal builders. It is a great starting point for those who want to start building pedals, and is a must-have for any player’s pedalboard. The original Fuzz Factory, designed by Zachary Vex, took the classic design of the Germanium Fuzz Face and tweaked the fixed resistors to turn them into potentiometers. Since then, many different versions of this classic have been created, with some having up to nine knobs. For this project, we are staying loyal to the original design, but with one additional Body control that replaces the Fat switch from the previous version. This potentiometer allows for a more versatile range of capacitors. The controls include Body, Gate, Volume, Drive (Fuzz), Compression, and Stab. The Body control thickens the tone, the Gate control goes from a noisy fuzz to a cut chocked fuzz, the Volume control adjusts the overall output, the Drive (Fuzz) control sets the amount of fuzz, the Compression control compresses the signal, and the Stab control adjusts the amount of voltage fed into the circuit.
