Schematics, circuits, PCBs and veroboards for guitar effects pedals.
The Hadron Dynamic Overdrive is a recreation of the Lovepedal Eternity, which is known for being a minimalist Tube Screamer circuit. The Eternity was one of the circuits that helped kick off the hand-built boutique pedal industry. There have been various versions of the Eternity released over the years, each with different names like Burst, Fuse, Kanji, D-Mod, and Roadhouse. However, they all share the same basic circuit.
The provided parts list is based on the original Eternity, but with some knowledge and modifications, you should be able to build almost any version of the pedal. The differences between the versions are typically in the component values used and the number of clipping diodes.
Similar to the Zendrive, the Eternity can be seen as a simplified version of the Tube Screamer, specifically based on the original 1997 Son of Screamer circuit by Jack Orman. The Eternity removes the input and output buffers found in the Tube Screamer, which allows it to interact better with a guitar’s volume and tone knobs. However, this also means that it can interact with the pedals that come before and after it in the signal chain.
The Hadron Dynamic Overdrive, alongside the Azimuth, has one of the lowest parts counts of any Aion FX project. This makes it an excellent starting point for new builders who are looking to gain experience in pedal building.
