Harbinger Two by Madbeanpedals

The Harbinger TwoFX is a Univibe pedal designed to be used in a wah configuration. It has gone through several prototypes over the course of five years to solve various problems. The pedal is a DIY project that requires time and patience to assemble.

The design of the Harbinger Two is similar to its predecessor, the Harbinger One. It includes a JFET buffer for a louder and brighter input option, as well as running all audio at 18v for added headroom. The LFO section runs from regulated voltage, and the pedal only requires a 9v DC supply to operate. A new feature of the Harbinger Two is the Drag switch, which creates a ramp-down effect of the modulation rate when transitioning from toe to heel positions.

The controls on the Harbinger Two include SPD for modulation rate, INT for modulation intensity, VOL for output volume, C/V for selecting between chorus or vibrato effect, MOD/VIN for selecting between traditional input or JFET buffer input, DRAG for the ramp-down effect, GAIN for adjusting the brightness of the LFO-driven lamp, and OFFSET for adjusting the lamp’s brightness ramping.

Overall, the Harbinger TwoFX is a Univibe pedal that offers a unique twist on the traditional design. It is a time-consuming DIY project that requires patience and commitment to assemble.
