Heartbreaker – High Pocket by Jeds Peds

The Heartbreaker – High Pocket is a pedal based on the Catalinbread RAH, which replicates the signature sound of Jimmy Page’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall in 1970. This kit captures the overdrive sound of the Hiwatt amplifiers used by Page during the show. The pedal features 5 pots – gain, treble, middle, bass, and master volume – allowing for control similar to that of an amplifier. The High Pocket is highly responsive to playing dynamics, enabling musicians to recreate Page’s expressive and diverse tones from the iconic performance. To achieve the desired sound, it is recommended to use the volume control on your guitar to clean up the signal when necessary. The High Pocket excels at cleaning up and offers versatility beyond just overdrive. The circuit utilizes stages of BS170’s cascaded through a 3-stage tone stack. While not a complicated build, a trimmer has been added to the circuit for additional versatility.
