Imperial Lemon is a FET-based overdrive emulator designed to capture the vintage-sounding of the Orange amplifiers. It is inspired by the now-discontinued Monarch Overdrive by EarthQuaker Devices and provides the ability to boost both bass and treble frequencies. The pedal has an organic, colorful tone with a full low end and bright highs. The board was designed around the Pre-amp section of the Orange amplifiers and includes a Baxendal EQ section with a treble and bass knob that boosts or cuts the desired frequencies. This section is placed in between the first and second gain stages, delivering its classic Orange Flavor. The Imperial Lemon has four controls: Gain, Vol, Treb, and Bass. The Gain control adjusts the amount of overdrive, while the Vol control adjusts the overall output level. The Treb and Bass controls adjust the treble and bass frequencies respectively. If you are looking for an overdrive able to produce big fat juicy chords with excellent low-end retention, the Imperial Lemon is the right pedal for you!
