Kompromat by Madbeanpedals

The Kompromat is a hybrid compressor pedal that combines elements from the Keeley Compressor and Barber Tone Press, both of which are based on the classic Ross OTA compressor. The pedal offers the option to use either the stock CA3080 or the more widely available LM13700 OTA, depending on what you have available.

The Kompromat features several controls:

1. SUS: Sets the total compression level, threshold trigger, and compression ratio.

2. ATTACK: Sets the response time of the compression effect. Turning it counterclockwise (CCW) results in a fast attack, while turning it clockwise (CW) results in a slow attack.

3. BLEND: Turning it counterclockwise (CCW) allows for a dry signal only, while turning it clockwise (CW) allows for compression only. Adjusting it in between will mix the dry and compressed signals.

4. CLIP: This control reduces the input to the compressor. Setting it counterclockwise (CCW) is suitable for single coils, while turning it up is recommended for hotter pickups like P-90’s or humbuckers to prevent clipping of the compression.

5. LVL: Sets the output level of the effect.

6. BIAS: Sets the balance of the two OTA inputs.

Please note that the Kompromat does not include any cables, onboard potentiometers, or specific layout information.
