The Range Master with Voltage Inverter is a modified version of the classic Range Master pedal, known for its iconic germanium treble boost. The original pedal used rare OC44 transistors, but since they are hard to find, the pedal now offers a selection of alternative transistors. The current options for the PNP (positive ground supply) version are the Russian MП16Б or MП41A transistors. However, if you can find a NPN transistor with low leakage, you can create a negative-ground version yourself, although the company is currently out of stock for that option. To make things easier for users, the new version of the pedal also includes a voltage inverter. This allows you to use the PNP transistors while still using a standard negative ground power supply that can be daisy-chained with other pedals. However, this voltage inverter is optional, and you can still wire the pedal as positive ground or use a battery if you prefer.
