The TV Channel is a classic hard-clipping overdrive developed by the people from Earthquaker. It consists of two DOD250 circuits placed on the same board, each with 3 different clipping options and a toggle to select which one to activate. Channel “ONE” has Silicon and Germanium modes, while Channel “TWO” has LED and Mosfet modes. The controls are divided into two sections, Green and Red. Each section has a Gain control to adjust the drive, dirtier clockwise and cleaner counterclockwise. The Green section has a Green control to set the output level when the green LED is lit, and a toggle to select between Silicon and Germanium clipping. The Red section has a Red control to set the output level when the red LED is lit, and a toggle to select between LED and Mosfet clipping. The foot-switches are a Channel Switch to select between Red and Green channels, and an Activate Switch to turn the effect on and off. The TV Channel is a great way to get classic hard-clipping overdrive tones with the added bonus of 3 clipping options per channel. With its simple yet effective design, it is sure to be a great addition to any pedalboard.
