The Voodoo Fuzz is a unique circuit that combines two different selectable fuzz tones and a Plexi amp emulation. It offers a wide range of tones, from a tight, big fuzz-like distortion to a classic fuzz tone with loads of compression. The toggle switch allows you to select between an LM386 (Tight) circuit and a 2N5089 (Big) circuit, which then push a Plexi Drive circuit to give the Marshall amp emulation. The board includes three trimmers to bias the JFET and pads to use standard through-hole J201 or the more available and reliable SMD version. The controls of the Voodoo Fuzz are Volume, Fuzz, Brightness and Big/Tight Switch. The Volume knob works like the volume knob on a guitar or amp, allowing you to adjust the output level. The Fuzz knob controls the amount of fuzz heard, and the Brightness knob adjusts between a darker, bassier sound and a high-forward, present sound. The Big/Tight Switch allows you to select between the two fuzz circuits and the Plexi section. The Voodoo Fuzz is a great choice for guitarists looking for that fuzz-into-a-screaming-stack sound, the iconic tone of guitarists such as David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. With its wide range of tones and adjustable controls, the Voodoo Fuzz is sure to give you the sound you’re looking for.
