Based On: Tap Tempo Tremolo

Wavelord by Madbeanpedals

The Wavelord is a tremolo pedal that uses the Electric Druid TAPLFO3 chip. It offers various options for tremolo effects, including tap tempo and multiple waveform choices. It also has an external jack for connecting to another optical effect, such as the Phaser or Wah projects from the Tapanatorator project. The Wavelord can also be used with future mbp modulation projects for tap tempo control.

The controls on the Wavelord include:

– Tap: Sets the quarter note pulse based on the average of two or more taps.
– Tempo: Sets the tempo using a potentiometer instead of tapping.
– Mult: Sets the quarter note pulse division, with options ranging from 0.5x to 4x.
– Depth: Adjusts the intensity of the tremolo effect.
– Dist: Alters the duty cycle to shift the peaks or valleys of each waveform.
– Vol: Controls the output volume of the pedal.
– Waveform: A continuous rotary switch that selects between 8 waveforms per bank.
– Bank: Toggles between bank 1 and 2, providing a total of 16 possible tremolo waveforms.
– T1: A trimmer that adjusts the gain recovery after the LDR in the opto device.

The Wavelord has recently been updated with the addition of a resistor (R32) to prevent the Multi pot from resetting when turned fully clockwise. The value of this resistor should be 4k7.

Overall, the Wavelord offers a versatile tremolo experience with various control options and the ability to connect to other optical effects.
