The Angels Univibe is a high-end DIY project kit based on the classic Univibe. The Univibe is a well-known effect used by famous musicians such as Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Robin Trower. The circuit is a staggered phase shifter known for its throbbing, hypnotic pulse and lo-fi sweep.
The Angels Univibe features board-mounted pots and toggles, making it easy to control. It is a versatile modulation box that works well with various instruments. There is an optional input buffer, as well as chorus and vibrato modes. The controls include Speed, Intensity, and Volume.
One notable feature of the Angels Univibe is the separated grounding of the LFO section, which helps eliminate the risk of audible ticking. The circuit path includes a voltage doubler, allowing it to run on a 9V adaptor while providing ample headroom at around 18V.
