The Fusion Dynamic Distortion is a modified version of the Suhr Riot Distortion pedal, which is known for its Marshall-like tone. The Riot pedal was originally developed as a modified clone of the MI Audio Crunch Box, which itself was inspired by the Marshall Bluesbreaker and Fulltone OCD.
The Fusion pedal retains the high gain “stack of amps” tone of the Riot, but adds some new features. One notable addition is an internal slide switch that allows the pedal to be used with either 9V or 18V power, giving players more flexibility in their setup. Additionally, the Fusion includes an internal Presence trimmer, which was originally found in the Crunch Box but not in the Riot. This trimmer allows for further tone shaping and expands the range of available sounds beyond what the original Riot offered.
Overall, the Fusion Dynamic Distortion takes the foundation of the Suhr Riot and adds some extra versatility and tonal options, making it a great choice for players looking for a versatile distortion/overdrive pedal with a Marshall-like tone.
