The Chuck Trem is an optical tremolo circuit based on the Shoot the Moon Tremolo. It was originally designed by ‘culturejam’ and is inspired by the Tremulus Lune circuit by 4MS/CommonSound. The Chuck Trem features three controls: Speed, Depth, and Shape, allowing for easy adjustment of the tremolo effect. The power supply section has been improved to provide better electrical isolation between the LFO and audio portions of the circuit, resulting in a quiet tremolo with minimal noise. The circuit can produce a range of wave shapes, from triangle to almost square wave, offering versatility in the tremolo effect. Additionally, there is a Gain control that allows for setting the output level of the circuit to unity gain or using it as a boosted tremolo if desired.
