The Gekyume is a delay pedal based on the EQD Space Spiral. It features six knobs and is built around the PT2399 chip. This pedal offers a wide range of features and is designed to deliver warm, modulated echo tones. It excels at creating murky oil can delays and warbly tape echo sounds. With a delay range of 30-600 ms, it may not be suitable for those seeking crisp and clean delays. The Gekyume’s modulation section is highly versatile, allowing users to sculpt their wave with controls for Depth, Shape, and Rate. This enables the recreation of classic tape-like flutters and oil-drum spins, as well as more extreme modulation effects. The pedal’s control set is simple yet sensitive, making it easy to dial in the desired sound. The Gekyume’s current draw is approximately 70mA.
